As part of the Crystal’s 24th theater season (2026-2027), the show “Honor Your Fathers and Pay the Psychologist” will be performed in Lovere on Saturday the 13th (8:45 PM) and Sunday the 14th (4:00 PM), March 2027, starring Paolo Rossi and Caterina Gabanella, with musicians Emanuele Dell’Aquila and Alex Orciari, written and directed by Paolo Rossi.

A comedian in therapy with his psychologist and his two faithful musicians—who provide his live soundtrack both in life and on stage—confesses his dark sides and honors the fictionalized memory and legacy of his mentors. All in front of his audience. He improvises his past to remember his own and others’ present. With the proceeds, he will pay the psychologist, as well as other debts for various matters in these difficult times. Satirical “operacce” like this are extravagant creations born from a variety of inspirations: readings of the great literary classics transformed into comical compositions, episodes “stolen” from real life and personal repertoire then reworked and transformed into comic poems that, thanks to musical accompaniment, transform into a folk song. The language is incorrect, varied, full of distortions, strange words and suggestions, but easily understandable to everyone. They remain fundamentally stories: we strive to tell them as best we can to combat the sense of disorientation and confusion we feel when considering how the world we live in is governed.
