One of the “Most beautiful hamlets in Italy“, Lovere was described by the English writer Lady Mary Wortley Montagu as “the most romantic place I have ever seen in my life”.
Squeezed between the lake and the mountains, the town looks like a large amphitheatre with beautiful buildings built with good taste and perfect architectural sense.

IT IS INTERESTING TO KNOW THAT
Mario Stoppani, Ace of the Air Force of the Great War and a pioneer of the Italian Air Force, landed several times in the waters in front of the town with his seaplane; along these roads Giacomo Agostini, the unforgettable “fifteen times World Champion”, rode his first few kilometres on the saddle of his motorbike.
