Searching for chestnuts on Europe's largest lake island: Towards the Ceriola Sanctuary

What could be better than a walk through the woods in search of chestnuts? A fun and carefree activity that both adults and children can enjoy.

The itinerary winds through small villages and unspoilt nature, which is dressed in its best Autumnal shades thanks to the foliage. A gentle, peaceful walk that will take you to the summit of Monte Isola where the Ceriola Sanctuary stands: the most panoramic point on the entire island.

Enjoy a short walk in this fairytale natural oasis waiting to be discovered! This is the Taxodi Park: a landscape dotted with conifers native to North America.
