All is ready for the 28th edition of CortoLovere, which will liven up the beautiful town of Lovere overlooking Lake Iseo for six days, from Monday 21 to Saturday 26 September 2026.

The festival schedule is as follows:

Monday 21 September | Auditorium Villa Milesi:
– 8:30 PM: Screening of “Caterina va in città” (2003) by Paolo Virzì;

Tuesday 22 September | Auditorium Villa Milesi:
– 8:30 PM: Screening of “La prima cosa bella” (2010) by Paolo Virzì;

Wednesday 23 September | Auditorium Villa Milesi:
– 8:30 PM: Screening of “Il capitale umano” (2013) by Paolo Virzì;

Thursday 24 September | Villa Milesi Auditorium:
– 6:00 PM: Screening of “I pugni in tasca” (1965), starring Paola Pitagora;
– 8:30 PM: Screening of “La pazza gioia” (2016) by Paolo Virzì;

Friday 25 September | Crystal Theater:
– 8:30 PM: Screening of the finalist short films – the audience can vote for the “Giuria popolare” award;

Saturday 26 September | Mondadori Bookstore:
– 4:30 PM: Meeting with author Gianni Canova, who will present the book “Un popolo di Ombre. Manifesto per la liberazione dei personaggi filmici” (Minimum Fax);

Saturday 26 September | Crystal Theater:
– 9:00 PM: gala evening.
The award ceremony for the winning short films, the Signora del Lago 2026 Paola Pitagora, and a screening of the short films produced during the “Occhi sul Lago” artistic residency, part of the SIAE “Per Chi Crea” program, will be held.
Attending the event will be: Paolo Virzì, president of the jury, Manuel Agnelli, Margherita Spampinato, Gianni Canova, artistic director, and Bruno Bozzetto, honorary president.
Journalist Marta Perego will host the evening.

From 21 to 24 September, morning screenings and workshops dedicated to schools will also be held.
