On Saturday, October 24, 2026, the town of Lovere will host a day of celebrations for the centenary of the founding of the ANMI Group (National Association of Italian Sailors) “Oprandi – Meloni”.

A rich program that combines institutional ceremonies, historical culture, maritime events, and music, under the patronage of the Province of Bergamo, the Mountain Community of the Bergamo Lakes, and the local municipalities.

Program
Morning:
Meeting with students: The National President of ANMI, Admiral of the Squadron (r) Pierluigi Rosati, meets with students of the Ivan Piana Institute on the theme: “ANMI and the Navy”.
2:30 PM – Massing: at the Marinai d’Italia Gardens. Accreditation and check-off of participating associations;
3:00 PM – Flag-raising and Honors to the Fallen: at the War Memorial;
3:15 PM – Defilamento: Departure from Via Tadini with arrival in Piazzale Aldo Moro. During the parade, the AVAS boats and the 16-meter sailboat Sciarelli di Velamore will sail (weather conditions permitting);
3:45 PM – Arrival of the Defilament: at Lovere Town Hall and conclusion of the parade;
4:15 PM – Authority Entrance: at Villa Milesi, Lovere Town Hall;
5:00 PM – Institutional Ceremony: at Villa Milesi. Greetings and addresses from the Authorities, presentation of the commemorative medal for the 100th anniversary of its foundation and conclusion of the ceremony.

Afternoon:
Visit to the Motonave “LA CAPITANIO 1926”: in static form to the oldest vessel on Lake Iseo, recently restored. By reservation. Cost: € 10.00 (free for children up to 12 years old);
3:00 PM – 7:00 PM – Naval Modeling Exhibition: at the ancient Church of San. Clear. Free admission;
5:30 PM – Guided tour of Lovere: Piazzale fronte Municipio.
Route: Basilica S. Maria in Valvendra (XV-VII), ancient Church of S. Chiara, alleys and districts of the medieval village, squares and monuments of the Risorgimento, with an external passage near the neoclassical Palazzo Tadini.  Cost: € 5.00.
7:30 PM – Convivial Meeting: (ANMI Reserved) at Oratory S. Bartolomea and S. Vincenza. Dedicated parking available near the Oratory;
8:45 PM – Harmonies Concert in the Basilica: at the Basilica of St. Maria in Valvendra. Concert by the Banda da Fodom, of the Corpo Musicale S. Vittore-Gaverina Terme and the Lovere Band.
