How to reach Lake Iseo by car
Iseo Lake is easily reacheable by car or motorbike. The highway A4 Torino-Trieste is the main communication artery which passes through the North of Italy and connects with the highway A22 Modena-Brennero, the highway A1 Milano-Napoli, the highway A21 Torino-Piacenza and the highway A35 Milano-Brescia (BreBeMi). From the highway exits state and provincial roads branch off and lead to the Lake Iseo territory.
The roads are viable all year. From the 15th November to the 15th April, all cars must have winter tires and snow chains on board.
Highway A4 exits:
- Coming from Milan:
Bergamo – travel along the SS42 to reach the places of Upper Iseo Lovere
Palazzolo sull’Oglio – travel along the SP469 to reach Sarnico
Rovato – follow the SP XI to reach Iseo - Coming from Venezia:
Brescia Ovest – take theSP11 direction Iseo Lake and than travel along the SP510 up to Iseo
Highway A21 exits:
Brescia Centro – take the SP11 direction Iseo Lake and then travel along the SP10 up to Iseo.
Highway A35 (BreBeMi) exits:
Racc. A35 Tang. Sud – after the Rovato exit, take the junction for Venezia A4 / Piacenza A21 and follow the SP19, direction of Ospitaletto, and following the directions for Lake Iseo take the SP510 up to Iseo.
- Fow those who come from Passo del Tonale or Passo dell’Aprica:
Take the SS42 or SS39 respectively to Edolo, then continue on the SS42 to Piancamuno. Continue on the SS42 to Lovere and then on the SP469 for the western shore of the lake or take the SP 510 for the towns on the eastern shore. - To reach Monte Isola:
Follow the signs to Iseo and then continue on the coast road towards Sulzano and Sale Marasino. Line navigation service between Sulzano – M. Isola Peschiera M. (every 15 minutes) and Sale Marasino – M. Isola Carzano (every 20 minutes). It is forbidden reaching Monte Isola with own transport.
