Thursday 24 August 2023, at 20:30 at the Centro Civico Culturale in Via del Cantiere at the Porto Turistico in Lovere, the conference will be held by the Mycological Inspectors and authors of the book Daniele Camiciotti and Stefano Restocchi, entitled “The mushrooms of Camonica Valley”.

The book “The mushrooms of Val Camonica” by Camiciotti and Restocchi, published in July 2017 by AMB, the Bresadola Mycological Association, has quickly become a point of reference for mycology in Val Camonica.

The book is an immediate and understandable tool both for the passionate collector who, albeit at an amateur level, wants to have a more in-depth knowledge of mushrooms, and for those approaching this fascinating world for the first time.

A choice was made of the 150 main and most common species that it is possible to meet in the woods of Val Camonica, also specifying where we have found them up to now.

Each mushroom file is accompanied by a simple and essential description of the species – supported by photographs taken in the habitat – combined with observations that contain practical advice on recognition, edibility and places of discovery.
