Show “Taxi a due piazze”
From Saturday 11 November 2023 to Sunday 12 November 2023 - h. 20:45
As part of Crystal’s 2023-2024 theater season, the show “Taxi a due piazza” with Barbara D’Urso and Rosalia Porcaro by Ray will be staged in Lovere on Saturday 11th (8.45pm) and Sunday 12th November 2023 (4pm) Cooney directed by Chiara Noschese.
After debuting in London in 1983, Taxi a due piazze immediately became a successful comedy translated into many languages. In Italy it had a historic edition starring Johnny Dorelli, Paola Quattrini, Martine Brochard and Paolo Panelli, soon becoming an evergreen for the public who are now well acquainted with the tragicomic events of the bigamous taxi driver who must keep his secret hidden before it becomes too much late. The author, Ray Cooney, was asked to renew the text with a ‘reversed’ feminine version updated to our times. And here is this new staging which sees the expert direction of Chiara Noschese and Barbara D’Urso in the role of the taxi driver Giulia who juggles between one husband in Piazza Risorgimento and another in Piazza Irnerio. Helping her is her exuberant friend Stella, played by the extraordinary Rosalia Porcaro, who is aware of her double life and plays along with her. But you know, one lie leads to another and so a long series of misunderstandings and infinite entanglements are triggered where everyone seems unaware of everything. A text that never ceases to entertain, even if it’s ‘all pink’.
