68th Bird and Hunting Dog Fair

On Friday, August 15th, 2025, the 68th Bird and Hunting Dog Fair will take place at Lido Nettuno in Sarnico.
The Bird and Hunting Dog Fair will begin at 5:00 a.m. with the AMOV Championship Competition Registration. The traditional singing competition will begin at 6:00 a.m., with common thrushes, redwings, blackbirds, chaffinches, larks, thrushes, goldfinches, and siskins taking center stage.
The AMOV jury will judge the best songbirds, and the winners will be announced at 9:30 a.m.
At 10:00 a.m., master bird whistler Loris Dal Maistro will perform, faithfully reproducing the call song both free-mouthed and with the aid of special whistles.
From 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., you’ll have the opportunity to observe the expert raptor trainers of the Do.C Falconry group. During the event, you’ll be able to take photographs, for example, of the beautiful golden eagle, ask the falconers questions about this ancient form of hunting, and a lucky few might even experience the thrill of holding a falcon or owl on their wrist.
Registration for the dog show will begin at 12:00 p.m. and close at 1:45 p.m. This will be followed by a visit from the judges and the awards ceremony.
From 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., you can watch the Rescue Dog performances with the W.O.R.D. association.
Bar and refreshments are open from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
