Every 5 years, the villages of Carzano and Novale are colored with magnificent paper flowers handcrafted by the inhabitants.
The 2025 edition will be held from Monday 8th to Sunday 14th September.

The event, also known as The Flower Festival, commemorates the recurrence of the end of cholera. According to the tradition, when the island was hit by the plague in 800, the inhabitants of the two villages asked for the grace to the Holy Cross and pledged to honor it with a majestic five-year Festival.

Traditionally, 14th September is the day on which the Liturgy commemorates the festival of glorification of the Holy Cross; a procession with the Relic of the Cross of Christ occurs in the small villages. You will be surrounded by a charming atmosphere at any time of the day and night.
