99^ Stagione dei Concerti dell’Accademia Tadini – Omaggio al M° Bruno Canino
Saturday 28 February 2026 - h. 21:00
Lovere (BG) – The Accademia Tadini inaugurates its 99th Concert Season, a milestone that confirms this historic institution as one of the most authoritative and enduring musical centers in Lombardy’s cultural landscape. This year, the celebrated Concert Hall, renowned for its impeccable acoustics and recently enhanced by restoration work, will once again host a series of events featuring internationally renowned artists performing highly prestigious programs.
Maestro Claudio Piastra, artistic director of the event, emphasizes: “The Accademia Tadini’s concert season enjoys unanimously recognized prestige, thanks to its long history of concerts that have featured some of the greatest artists of the last hundred years. It is precisely in the name of this glorious tradition that we wish to continue to offer our audiences concerts of the highest artistic caliber.”
The season opens on Saturday 28 February with Omaggio al Maestro Bruno Canino, one of the world’s greatest pianists. The Maestro, who recently turned ninety, having spent more than seventy years on stages around the world, has been absent from the Tadini for several years after previously performing unforgettable concerts. He will return for a concert with violinist Joaquin Palomares. Audiences will hear works by Brahms, Turina, and Franck, performed by two top-notch artists, combining elegance and expressive intensity.
The second concert will be on Friday 6 March, when pianist Massimiliano Motterle will present Distacco, a musical journey through Beethoven, Chopin, and Schumann with a personal interpretation rich in poetic depth.
The season continues on Saturday 14 March with Canto dell’Anima, performed by cellist Alexander Hülshoff, a sensitive and refined performer who will present a repertoire ranging from Bach and Cassadò to Ligeti and Sollima, in a dialogue between tradition and contemporaneity.
On Friday 20 March, Brandenburg & Friends will feature flutist Giuseppe Nova, contrabassist Giorgio Boffa, and pianist Giovanni Scotta. The program will offer a lively blend of diverse styles and languages, featuring music by Bach, Bolling, and Bernstein.
An evocative highlight of the season will be on Saturday 28 March with Zingaresche und Tangos, a musical journey through South American folk atmospheres and passions, performed by accordionist Gianluca Campi and pianist Claudio Cozzani. The program will feature works by Piazzolla, Brahms, Gardel, Galliano, and Rachmaninoff.
The series will conclude on Saturday 11 April with the Dvořák giramondo boemo, performed by the string quartet La Magnifica Quartet, who will pay homage to the great Czech composer through some of his most iconic works.
With a rich lineup of high-quality performers and programs spanning eras and genres, the 99th Concert Season of the Accademia Tadini confirms itself as an unmissable event for the entire region and a reference point for classical music enthusiasts.
