20th International Violin Making Competition

From Saturday, September 19th to Wednesday, September 23rd, the Church of Santa Maria della Neve in Pisogne will host the 20th edition of the International Violin Making Competition, organized by A.N.L.A.I. – the National Association of Italian Artistic Violin Makers.
The event celebrates the art of violin making and the talent of the artisans and artists who, through their woodworking and attention to every detail, bring precious musical instruments to life.
This year, over 150 stringed, plucked, and bowed instruments from 12 different countries will be on display: Italy, Bulgaria, China, South Korea, France, Japan, Hong Kong, Poland, Romania, Thailand, Taiwan, and Venezuela.
The awards ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, September 19th, at 3:00 pm.
The instruments entered in the competition will remain on display to the public through Wednesday, September 23rd.
