On Sunday 1st September in Marone the event in memory of Mario Stoppani, a highly decorated Loverese aviator and ace of the Italian aviation of the First World War, will be held.
The event includes a program of interesting cultural initiatives both in Lovere and Marone with exhibitions, conferences, meetings with the author, aeronautical village and seaplane flights.

The Lungolago Marconi and the Centro Civico Don Benedetti of Marone will come alive in a celebration of flight thanks to the collaboration of the AAA Sezione of Marone.

The program on Sunday 1st September will take place entirely in Marone where from 9.30 a.m. an aeronautical village will be set up where there will be stands and attractions dedicated to the world of aviation, in particular there will be an exhibition of model aircraft curated by AAA Sezione of Marone, the Modello MC72 will be exhibited and the stand of the Comitato Idroscalo Desenzano will be opened; the little ones can have fun with a static hot air balloon and a flight simulator.

At 10 a.m. there will be the flag raising and official commemoration at the Don Benedetti Civic Center, followed by the inauguration of the exhibition “MARIO STOPPANI: Cento Aeroplani e Un Cuore Grande” which can be visited on the lakeside.

At 10.30 a.m. in the Sala Polifunzionale Angelo Zucchi the conference “MONTECOLINO NELLA STORIA” will be held, with interventions by Pier Francesco Meazzini on the theme “Gianni Caproni and the strategic role of Lake Iseo and Monte Colino in the development of the Industrial Group” and by Francesco Dionigi on the theme “From Montecolino to Manhattan, a story to discover”.

At 4.30 p.m., at the Centro Civico Don Benedetti, a paper airplane workshop and a tournament will be held, suitable for both children and adults.

Furthermore, from 9.30 a.m. to 6 p.m., it will be possible to try the experience of flying on a seaplane at the stand on the North Pier of the Port; the cost of the experience is 300 Euros for four people and includes 20 minutes of flight and another 10 minutes dedicated to boarding and disembarking.
