Pisogne is getting ready for the 28th Mostra Mercato: starting on 8 August with the “Notte della Cultura”.
From 12 to 16 August, the highly anticipated summer event returns to the shores of Lake Iseo. To pave the way, a special preview evening packed with art, theater, music, and guided tours will take over the historic center on Saturday 8 August.
Pisogne is getting ready for one of the highlights of the summer season with the 28th edition of the Mostra Mercato (Market Fair), taking place from 12 to 16 August. Organized by the Municipality of Pisogne in collaboration with Pisogne Eventi, the Municipal Library, and the STORiE Cultural Space, this landmark event seamlessly blends culture, entertainment, local tradition, and heritage.
Setting the stage for the main event, the “Notte della Cultura” will kick off on Saturday 8 August, turning the historic town center into an open-air stage for all ages.
Highlights of the Night of Culture:
– Family Theatre & Workshops: A performance of “Il Gatto con gli Stivali, Re e Regina, Orco e Manovali”, presented by a theater troupe of children aged 8 to 11. The show will be preceded by a hands-on creative workshop for kids and parents.
– Inclusive Music: A vibrant live concert by the Si Può Fare Band, an inclusive musical ensemble featuring over 30 musicians, educators, and people with disabilities.
– Poetry & Reflection: Actress Gabriella Tanfoglio and cellist Daniela Savoldi present “Sconfinamenti – A braccia aperte” (Crossings – With Open Arms), featuring the poetry of Mariangela Gualtieri dedicated to children’s rights and human displacement.
– Art & Heritage Tours: Guided visits exploring Romanino’s famous frescoes, the hidden corners of “Secret Pisogne,” the historic industrial village of Govine, and the ceramic art exhibition “Occhiopinocchio!” by Michele Rota at Casa delle Arti.
– Grand Finale: The evening will wrap up with “Happiness”, a contemporary circus show by Compagnia Rasoterra, ushering the audience straight into the festive spirit of the Market Fair.
An unmissable occasion for locals and visitors alike to experience art, history, and community performance along the scenic alleys and plazas of Pisogne.
