On Saturday, July 18th, starting at 9:30 PM, the stunning backdrop of Piazza del Porto in Riva di Solto will host the 2nd edition of “Cartoline da Riva” (Postcards from Riva). This year’s event is a tribute to the women of the lake, celebrating the mothers, wives, and entrepreneurs who have deeply shaped the history and identity of our local area.

It promises to be a special evening weaving together music, storytelling, and firsthand accounts from local residents. The night will be further enriched by projections of evocative vintage photographs, allowing the audience to relive the 20th-century atmosphere along the lakeshore.

These same photographs will be featured in an exhibition held on Saturday, July 18th and Sunday, July 19th at the Sala Civica in Riva di Solto. The exhibition serves as a special tribute marking the 80th anniversary of universal suffrage in Italy.

Admission to both the main event and the exhibition is free of charge.

In the event of bad weather, the performance will move indoors to the Riva di Solto parish hall theater (teatro dell’oratorio).
