From Friday 2 to Sunday 4 October 2026 Lovere will host celebrations for the 100th anniversary of the historic Gruppo Alpini, with the 22nd Zone 21 intergroup gathering.

Program:

Friday 2 October:
– 4:45 PM | Piazza Tredici Martiri: official start of the event with the arrival of the Group’s historic pennant aboard the motor vessel La Capitanio;
– 5:00 PM | Piazza Tredici Martiri: flag-raising ceremony;
– 8:45 PM | Cinema Teatro Crystal: performance by Alpine choirs from Rogno and Sovere, with participation from the Castro Band;

Saturday 3 October:
– 10:00 AM | War Memorial (Castro): laying of the laurel wreath;
– 8:45 PM | Fresco Hall, Tadini Academy: public meeting with General C.A. Marcello Bellacicco on the theme “Alpini di ieri e Alpini di oggi valori di sempre”;

Sunday 4 October:
– parade marking the centenary of the Lovere Group as well as the twenty-second Intergroup meeting of Zone 21;
– 8:10 AM | Tourist Port: gathering of participants;
– 8:45 AM | Tourist Port: speeches by the authorities;
– 9:15 AM | Tourist Port: departure of the parade through the town streets;
– 11:00 AM | Basilica of Santa Maria in Valvendra: Holy Mass;
– 12:30 PM | Oratory: alpine lunch;
– 5:00 PM | Piazza Tredici Martiri: handover of the flag to the Group organizing the next Intergroup meeting, flag lowering, and closing of the event;

The public is invited to display the Italian flag.
