Thursday 28 May 2026 - h. 20:30
On Thursday 28 May 2026, at 8:30 PM, at the Civic Cultural Center on Via del Cantiere in the Lovere Tourist Port, a conference by the botanist Glauco Patera will take place, entitled “La biodiversità vegetale delle Torbiere del Sebino: flora, habitat e conservazione”.
The conference offers an in-depth look at the flora and vegetation of the Torbiere del Sebino Nature Reserve, one of the most important wetlands of Lombardia and a Natura 2000 site. The main marsh vegetation types, the species of greatest conservation value, and their characteristic ecological dynamics will be illustrated. Special attention will be paid to the active management and ecological restoration efforts implemented to improve the conservation status of marsh biodiversity. The meeting will offer an integrated approach combining scientific research, monitoring, and concrete conservation interventions, highlighting the strategic role of wetlands in protecting plant biodiversity and ecosystem services.
