On Monday 4 November 2024, the Municipality of Lovere will commemorate the fighters and fallen of the World War I, with the hope that their sacrifice will serve to strengthen the sense of belonging to the national community based on the principles of peace and freedom, today enshrined in the Constitution and guaranteed by the Armed Forces.

Schedule:

9:15 am | Piazza Tredici Martiri
laying of a wreath at the Monument of Freedom and remembrance of the fallen Lovere soldiers of the Risorgimento wars;
followed by a procession to the Park of Remembrance and Peace;

9:40 am | Park of Remembrance and Peace
laying of a laurel wreath to the tune of Silence;

9:50 am | Shrine of the Fallen
raising of the flag, followed by the national anthem;
laying of a laurel wreath to the tune of the Legend of the Piave;
commemorative speech by the Mayor;
blessing;

6:00 pm | Church of S. Giorgio
S. Mass in suffrage of the fallen of all wars and for peace.

The ceremony will be accompanied by the Corpo Bandistico di Lovere and a representation of the students of the musical department of the “Decio Celeri” Comprehensive Education Institute.

During the day, the Citizenship will pay homage to the Fallen of Lovere in the Great War at the Park of Remembrance and Peace.

The event will take place even in case of rain.
