On Sunday, September 20th, setting off at 10 am from Provaglio d’Iseo, the cycle ride for peace will take place, with the finish scheduled for Piazza Garibaldi in Iseo, where activities organised by local associations will be held for children and young people.

The event is part of the ‘Giro d’Italia per la Pace’, a journey for peace and brotherhood promoted by the National Coordination of Local Authorities for Peace and Human Rights, the National Network of Schools for Peace and the PerugiAssisi Foundation for the Culture of Peace, to mark the eighth centenary of St Francis of Assisi, Patron Saint of Italy. This year’s event is dedicated not only to St Francis, but also to Giorgio La Pira and Marina Baretta.

The Giro d’Italia per la Pace is a means of rebuilding a consciousness, a culture and a politics of peace that is expressed through care for others, for humanity and for the planet. Starting with the younger generations.
