On the occasion of International Women’s Day, on Sunday, March 8th, at 5:00 pm, the former church of Nigrignano in Sarnico will host “In ArteMisia”, a musical recitative concert dedicated to the extraordinary figure of Artemisia Gentileschi, one of the greatest painters of the Italian Baroque period, known for her extraordinary talent and her paintings depicting strong and determined women.
Her life and art are a symbol of courage, resilience, and the fight for female dignity.
The event offers an emotional journey through music and words, with readings of testimonies from the trial and the letters of the celebrated painter.

The performance is by the Vox Artis Ensemble, with Elena Gallo (soprano), Attilio Sottini (flute), Tomas Gavazzi (harpsichord), and Barbara Pizzetti (narrator).

The event is organized by the Sarnico Department of Culture and Education.
