Opening of the exhibition “Bruno Zoppetti. Studi per una Crocifissione”
Wednesday 30 April 2025 - h. 17:00
On Wednesday 30 April, at 5:00 pm, the opening of the exhibition “Bruno Zoppetti. Studi per una Crocifissione” will take place at the Atelier dell’Accademia Tadini in via Giorgio Oprandi in Lovere.
“Studi per una Crocifissione” is much more than an exhibition: it is an intense journey into the universal meaning of pain, guided by the profound gaze of the artist Bruno Zoppetti.
Curated by Marco Albertario, the exhibition is born from a powerful reflection: what does the Crucifixion still tell us today? Through unpublished sketches and a direct comparison with the figurative sources of the past, Zoppetti intertwines memory and current events, giving shape to a visual narrative that strikes and questions.
At the centre of the exhibition, an emotional polyptych, built around two symbolic images: the Christ of the miners and the Mother of Gaza, which give voice to the pain of all times and all places.
The exhibition is accompanied by a catalogue with texts by Pierluigi Lanfranchi, professor of Greek Language and Literature at the University of Aix-Marseille, and by Marco Albertario himself.
A unique opportunity to be touched by art that speaks of man, his past, our present.
