On Friday, January 23^rd, at 8:45 pm, at the Ex Chiesetta di Nigrignano in Sarnico, author Livio Gambarini will present his novel “La ribelle di Dio. Le cronache dei Visconti” (Piemme), a work that marks the author’s return to historical fiction after the success of La papessa di Milano.

Set in medieval Lombardy, the book leads the reader into an intense intertwining of heresies and passions, battles and mystical visions, where the fate of a people is played out between faith and violence, impossible loves and relentless rivalries. With careful study of the sources and a clear and rigorous approach, Gambarini reconstructs the halls of power of the past, amidst political intrigue, overwhelming emotions, and epic conflicts.
