Following the success of previous editions, “La Notte Romantica” (The Romantic Night) returns to Lovere on Saturday 20 June 2026. The event, promoted nationally by the “I Borghi più belli d’Italia” (The Most Beautiful Villages in Italy) Club, celebrates the arrival of the summer solstice. It invites all lovers to gather in the squares, alleys, and palaces of the more than 200 participating villages.

PRELUDE TO THE EVENT:

• 3:00 PM: “Un pomeriggio al Museo tra natura, storie e scoperte!” – free workshop for children led by Renata Besola at the Civic Museum’s classroom;
• 5:00 PM: “Principe azzurro dove sei?” – free reading game and workshop for adults and children at the Mondadori bookshop;
• 5:30 PM: – concert at the Accademia Tadini as part of the “Onde musicali” festival. Free admission;
• 6:00 PM: Guided tour “Regine di cuori. Passioni dipinte nelle sale dell’Accademia Tadini”. Cost: €10, free for children 13 and under.

In case of bad weather, the #arawordbridge festival will be held at the Crystal Theatre in Lovere starting at 8:30 pm.

SCHEDULE:

• 6:30 PM, Piazza V. Emanuele II (old town): #arawordbridge festival – interview with Gianfelice Facchetti, “Every man’s memory is his private literature”; followed by, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, “A journey through music and emotions” with MagistrElli POV;
• 9:00 PM, Piazza Tredici Martiri: #arawordbridge – concert by Mario Lavezzi “Viaggio nella storia della musica italiana: canzoni & parole”;
• 9:40 PM, Piazza Tredici Martiri: official lighting of the summer edition of the “Lovere, il Borgo della luce” lightshow; followed by, at 10:00 PM, resumption and continuation of Lavezzi’s concert.

Furthermore:

• 7:00-9:00 PM: special extended opening of the Tadini Academy Gallery with reduced admission to €5 for everyone;
• 8:30-10:30 PM: free special evening opening of the Civic Tower, the Basilica of Santa Maria in Valvendra, and the ancient Church of Santa Chiara;
• 8:30-11:00 PM, lakeside – pier area: guided tours of the historic motor vessel “La Capitanio”;
• Special evening opening of participating shops;
• Themed displays and selfie points.
