The summer traveling exhibition “Le 2 Rive del Jazz” organized by the Luigi Tadini Association and The Editor arrives in the Hall of Frescoes of the Tadini Academy in Lovere for four events featuring established musicians and new talents from the Bergamo and Brescia jazz scene. There will also be space for the documentary on the Lovere Jazz Festival of the Seventies and the preview of the trailer of the next video which tells the story of maestro Gianluigi Trovesi.
Four events with the contribution of the Lombardy Region which aim to demonstrate the vitality of the Bergamo and Brescia jazz scene, therefore faithful to the project of qualifying the musical proposal on the two shores of Lake Iseo. At the same time, with the two documentaries, one finished and the second still in progress, we want to bear witness to the history of this music in our territory through the story of the four incredible years of Lovere Jazz 1977-1980 and the story of the great career of an extraordinary musician like Gianluigi Trovesi.
On Sunday 3 December, again as part of New Leve del Jazz, space will be given to the female vocal quartet J & The Hot Four. A project born within the Jazz department of the Luca Marenzio Conservatory of Brescia under the guidance of Maestro Corrado Guarino. The heart of the group is the harmonies created by the voices of the four jazz singers, all students of Maestro Boris Savoldelli, who are highlighted by the double bass accompaniment of Giacomo Ferrari.
The project tackles various jazz standards linked to the more traditional repertoire with arrangements by Corrado Guarino, Scott Pesenti, Daniele Bonacina, Ilaria Tengatini and Giacomo Ferrari. The main aim is to highlight vocality in jazz and bring the voice to the center of the stage, protagonist in all its facets starting from complex harmonies as if the four voices were a brass section of a Big Band, up to to the personal improvisational aspect of each of the voices, passing through the warm colors that only an instrument like the double bass can provide.
Chiara Bertelli (soprano), Elena Troiano (mezzo-soprano), Giorgia Gusmini (mezzo-soprano), Nadia Bassano (contralto) and Giacomo Ferrari (double bass).
