Sunday, 12th September at 8.30 pm in Lovere, The New Generation of Jazz, the Eclipse Quartet and the Elly Jazz Quartet, will perform for the review Le 2 Rive del Jazz. The event will be held at the Lovere Marina.

The guys from the Eclipse quartet have joined together for a couple of years with the aim of rediscovering “Coltranian” sounds, while maintaining the precise identity of the individual components. The group offers a repertoire composed almost exclusively by original pieces inspired by another great innovator of the saxophone: Ornette Coleman.

Elly, a young and eclectic artist with three studio albums and various live projects to her credit, presents her new work dedicated to the figure of Eddie Jefferson retracing part of the artist’s discography and focusing mainly on the vocalese style and on the typically soul jazz sounds. In the middle of the concert there will also be a short excerpt from her latest acoustic live album “Elly in Jazz”, dedicated to the great classics of jazz.
