“Le strade più belle d’Italia”: inauguration of the first road, Lovere – Bienno
From Sunday 14 September 2025 to Monday 15 September 2025

On Monday 15 September 2025 at 10:00 a.m. with a press conference at Palazzo Tadini in Lovere, the first certified road, part of the project curated by Italy Discovery and the Association of the Most Beautiful Villages in Italy, is called “Le 100 Strade più belle d’Italia”, will be inaugurated. The project is funded by the Ministry of Tourism, with the patronage of the Lombardy Region, ENIT, ANCI, UNCEM, UPI, and Italea, and aims to develop a new tourism product focused on sustainability and landscape enhancement. The goal is to create a new tourism product where not only the destination but also, and above all, the journey itself becomes important.
On Sunday 14 September at 2:30 p.m., the convoy of vintage cars will depart from Bienno and retrace the route of the first Most Beautiful Road in Italy, stopping at Castione della Presolana at 4:00 p.m. and arriving at the Tourist Port of Lovere at 6:00 p.m. The mayors of Bienno (Ottavio Bettoni) and Lovere (Claudia Taccolini) will cut the ribbon at the start and finish lines.
On the 15th, the inauguration ceremony will also be attended by Undersecretary of Education Paola Frassinetti, Lombardy Regional Councilors Franco Lucente (Transport and Sustainable Mobility) and Alessandro Beduschi (Agriculture), MEP Mario Mantovani, and Raffaele Speranzon, member of the Senate Culture Committee.
