For the month of August, the S. Stefano cinema, in Ome, is offering an open-air cinema festival. On Thursday 13th August Military Wives is scheduled.

“Kate married Richard and the war with him. Wife of a colonel and mother of a son who fell in battle, Kate lives on an English military base and shares a resignation war with other women. Because their men are (again) on a mission in Afghanistan and they have a damned need to keep busy, not to think about the worst. Camp veteran Kate volunteers to support Lisa, who is appointed head of recreational activities. Compassed and classic one, informal and pop the other, Kate and Lisa collide on everything. A chorus project is finally agreed. Music turns out to be a real balm for the women of the base, a project that will take them further than they thought and closer to their spouses.”

All the screenings will take place in the park of the former elementary schools, next to the cinema hall. Admission ticket is € 4. The screenings begin at 21.00. The ticket office always opens 30 minutes before each show.

In case of bad weather, the screenings will take place indoors in the hall.
