Tuesday 25 August 2020 - h. 21:00
For the month of August, the S. Stefano cinema, in Ome, is offering an open-air cinema festival. On Tuesday 25th August, the movie Parasite by Bong Joon-ho is scheduled.
“Ki-woo lives in a modest apartment below street level. The presence of his parents, Ki-taek and Chung-sook, and his sister Ki-jung makes housing conditions difficult, but family affection unites them despite everything. Together they do their utmost in humble chores to make ends meet, without a real strategy but always with pride and a touch of cunning. The turning point comes with a friend of Ki-woo, who offers the boy the opportunity to replace him as an English teacher for the daughter of a rich family: the job is well paid, and the villa of Mr. Park, a manager of an IT company, is an architectural masterpiece. Ki-woo is so enthusiastic that, talking to Ms. Park about her youngest son’s drawings, he sees an opportunity to seize, creating a secret identity for his sister Ki-jung as an art teacher and insinuating even further deep into the lives of the unsuspecting strangers”
All the screenings will take place in the park of the former elementary schools, next to the cinema hall. Admission ticket is € 4. The screenings begin at 9.00 pm. The ticket office always opens 30 minutes before each show.
