The Municipal Administration and the ANPI section of Lovere are organizing the “80° anniversario della Liberazione – Il ricordo di ieri per affrontare le sfide di oggi”.

Event schedule:

– 9:00 am: celebration of the Holy Mass at the church of San Giorgio;

– 10:00 am: meeting of Authorities, Associations and citizens at Piazzale Aldo Moro (in front of the Town Hall);

– 10:10 am: laying of a laurel wreath in Via Marconi, followed by the start of the procession;

– 10:15 am: laying of a laurel wreath at the “Ivan Piana” Institute at the “L’ultima marcia” monument in memory of the Thirteen Martyrs created by Alessandro Zanni with the local ANPI;

– 10:40 am: procession through the city streets with the laying of laurel wreaths in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II, at Palazzo Tadini and in Piazza Tredici Martiri;

– 11:15 am: moment of commemoration in Piazza Tredici Martiri with readings by the cultural association Olive a pArte;
Jacopo Scandella, representing the Regional Council of Lombardy;
Mauro Bonomelli, representing the province of Bergamo;
Claudia Taccolini, Mayor of Lovere;

– 11:30 am: official speech by the Hon. Anna Ascani, vice president of the Chamber of Deputies.

The commemoration will be accompanied by the Lovere and Costa Volpino Band.

For the occasion, the exterior of Palazzo Tadini in Lovere will be illuminated with a dedicated artistic light show.
