The presentation of the book “L’Amico Fritz. Untersturmführer SS Langer Bergamo 1943-1945” by Angelo Bendotti will be held on Friday, April 1st at 8.30 pm at the Sala de Lisi in Pisogne.

A discussion with the author is scheduled, with Elisabetta Ruffini, director of Isrec in Bergamo, and Federico Carlo Simonelli, PhD in history of political parties and movements at the University of Urbino and scientific director of the Parri Institute in Milan. The meeting will be moderated by Franco Berteni.

The book traces an exhaustive biographical profile of the figure of Fritz Langer, commander of the SS Aussenkommando in Bergamo from November 1943 to April 27th, 1945, analyzing with historical rigor the strategies used by Langer in the fight against partisan gangs and the relationships entertained with the Catholics in the Bergamo area.
