On Sunday, October 4^th, at 5:00 pm, the parish church of San Martino Vescovo in Sarnico will host “Francesco. Ottocento anni dopo” (Francis: Eight Hundred Years Later), a theatrical and musical reading organized by the Sarnico Parish and dedicated to Saint Francis of Assisi on the eighth centenary of his death.

The performance retraces key moments in the Saint’s life—from his youth to his conversion, and from his renunciation of worldly goods to the birth of the brotherhood—while reflecting on the contemporary relevance of his message.

The reading is based on texts by Marco Baliani, Mario Castellacci, Piero Castellacci, and Mario Dometti.

The musical accompaniment will be provided by the “Il Castello” polyphonic choir, conducted by Mario Carminati, with Anna Colleoni on piano. The cast features actors from the Crazy Company for don John and Teatro Piroscafo. Directed by Walter Tiraboschi, with lighting design by Stefano Restori.
