Show “Pane e zucchero”
From Saturday 19 December 2026 to Sunday 20 December 2026
As part of the Crystal’s 24th theater season (2026-2027), the show “Pane e zucchero” (Bread and Sugar) will be performed in Lovere on Saturday, December 19th (8:45 PM) and Sunday, December 20th (4:00 PM), starring Antonio Provasio and Maicol Trotta, by Mitia Del Brocco, and directed by Antonio Provasio.
A fun and engaging show in which the eclectic Antonio Provasio, head comedian and director of the I Legnanesi Company, steps out of his leading lady role for once, engaging the audience in a sort of “game of concave and convex mirrors,” contrasting lifestyle differences between the slow, romantic moments of the past and the frenetic, fast-paced days of today. A journey through memories, emotions, and nostalgia for a time now almost forgotten, yet one that offered the beauty of simple things and gestures: a handshake, a look full of emotion, Christmas with family, respect for the elderly, sending a letter complete with a stamp, and, as the title suggests, eating bread dipped in sugar given by one’s mother for a snack and enjoyed with friends during playtime in the yard. Touching on topics such as the impact of social media, bullying, music, sports, how food has changed, how going to restaurants has changed, and much more, the stage brings to life a comparison between generations, between past and present, with the ever-present question of “Was it better then or now?” lingering in the background.
