As part of Crystal’s 2023-2024 theater season, the show “Fred!” will be staged in Lovere on Saturday 2nd (8.45pm) and Sunday 3rd December 2023 (4pm). with Matthias Martelli and Matteo Brancaleoni by Arturo Brachetti and Matthias Martelli directed by Arturo Brachetti.

An exceptional and acclaimed artist, who marked the cultural and musical history of our country. Who was Fred Buscaglione? A restless and brilliant man, an ironic and provocative artist who changed the history of Italian song and had a profound impact, with his unforgettable style, on Italian customs and society. That he had the audacity and perseverance to follow his own artistic, innovative and disruptive vocation, in times when our local music navigated between cloying notes and sappy loves. What else does Fred have to tell us? Matthias Martelli, after the resounding success of Mistero Buffo, returns with his theater in which he mixes gestures, mimicry and words, accompanied by live music performed by Matteo Brancaleoni and a four-piece formation and with the directorial inventions of Arturo Brachetti, for accompanying the viewer through the life and songs of this absolute genius. A mixture of notes, words and images that will reveal another Fred, powerful and fragile, a symbol of his era and at the same time capable of speaking to the future.
