Guided visit to the exhibition “Cesare Tallone. Ritratti di società” dedicated to the “Figure femminili”
Saturday 5 August 2023 - h. 15:30
The kind public will be accompanied by one of our educators to discover some female figures present in the exhibition dedicated to the painter Cesare Tallone, director of the Carrara Academy in Bergamo from 1885 to 1899.
Female figures, women, icons of style and of the change taking place in society between the 19th and 20th centuries “Good manners are not empty formalities, but reveal relationships, contexts and conflicts that concern sociality as a whole… they therefore represent a relevant source for the social and cultural history, evidence of political-pedagogical visions that go beyond the codification of simple rules of behavior” Luisa Tasca Galatei, Florence 2004.
Tallone is an interpreter capable of responding, through the renewal of portraiture, to the representation needs of a community that is moving towards a new modernity.
