Continuity of care – former medical guard

  • UPPER LAKE ISEO

On Saturday 6 July 2024, the Bergamo area saw the launch of a new organization of the Continuity of Care service (former medical guard): the UNI.CA center which answers the number 116117.

All citizens who require non-urgent healthcare during times not covered by their general practitioner must contact the number 116117. By dialing it you will be directed to the UNI.CA center where, unlike in the past, the same Continuity of Care doctors will respond, who will evaluate the requests and will be able to resolve them if necessary without having to move the patient, also making use of the video call, and also directly carry out dematerialized prescriptions.

With this operational-organizational method, the Continuity of Care (CA) offices will be relieved of the function of initial telephone filtering and taking charge: doctors will thus be able to concentrate their activities for the services deemed necessary. For this reason you are asked to contact 116117 and not to show up at the outpatient clinics.

News
