The Birth of a Dream: The Tadini Collection: Past, Present, and Future
Sunday 2 August 2026 - h. 15:00
On the first Sunday of the month, the Tadini Academy invites the public to rediscover the soul of its collection through a special tour. On Sunday, August 2nd, at 3:00 PM, educational services will guide visitors through a narrative that intertwines art with the personal history of Count Tadini, revealing how a private dream became a collective heritage.
The tour winds through the museum’s halls, focusing on the major figures who make this collection unique on the international scene. We will meet Antonio Canova, the genius of Neoclassicism, bound to his family by a deep friendship, and Francesco Hayez, an icon of Romanticism who chose Lovere as the setting for his emotional ties.
The journey will continue through the pictorial adventures of Giorgio Oprandi, the “knight-errant,” and the masterpieces of Bellini and Paris Bordon. There will also be forays into the charm of the Historical Library and the splendor of European and Oriental porcelain, the enchanting “white gold” of the collection. An opportunity to rediscover, with careful and guided attention, the richness of an artistic tradition that continues to express the identity of our region.
The meeting point for the guided tour is at the ticket office, at Via Tadini 40. The cost for the tour is 7 euros per participant.
Museum Pass: Admission included for holders of the Lombardy Museum Pass or the “Extra” plan (subject to card registration).
