On Tuesday, August 13th at 9 p.m., at the tensile structure in the Damioli Municipal Park in Pisogne, there will be a concert of the “Le 2 Rive del Jazz” festival featuring the Mediterranean Woods Acoustic Quartet led by Gianluigi Trovesi (clarinets), Roger Rota (bassoon), Marco Remondini (cello), and Stefano Bertoli (percussions).

Mediterranean Woods, the acoustic version of the duo project by Gianluigi Trovesi and Marco Remondini titled “Troveremo,” tells the story of modern Argonauts on a quest for something that may not exist, where the expressive quality can be found in breaking down philological anchors, without fear of the detours that are part of the very essence of the journey. The two original protagonists are joined by Roger Rota and Stefano Bertoli, who, by adding bassoon and percussion to the clarinets and cello, give the ensemble a timbral quality primarily based on wood. The wood that was used to construct the instruments of the Mediterranean Woods was precisely formed by aggregating clarinets, percussion, bassoon, and cello. The wood, a living matter, will take us, floating, along the Mediterranean coasts and beyond, on a journey filled with absolutely acoustic sounds, moving through places, time, and emotions in a trip that has no destination, in search of something that perhaps does not exist.
