Need some ideas for the spring break of 25 April and 1 May? Here's one to unplug and recharge your batteries: the Cammino Tre Laghi ('Three Lakes Walk').
The common thread of this walk is water. Walking along the recommended route you will almost always have a view of one of the three lakes: Iseo, Endine and Gaiano.
With 100 km of paths, mule tracks and agro-pastoral roads, this circular route will take you through the beauty of the Borlezza valley, the Cavallina valley and the Camonica valley.
Somewhere between a traditional walk and a trek, the ‘Cammino Tre Laghi’ alternates long flat stretches with others of steep ascent and descent, ranging from 185 metres at Lake Iseo to 1458 metres at Mount Colombina.
The variety of landscapes you will cross ranges from olive groves to spruce forests, from lake shores to the crests of the mountains above. Even better news, thanks to its exposure, the route is almost always in the sun!
The 6 recommended stops:
-
- Sovere – Monasterolo del Castello (17 km)
