The Church of Saints Ippolito and Cassiano and its scenic garden, in Zorzino (Riva di Solto), will host “Le 2 Rive del Jazz” for the first time on Friday 7 August at 9:00 PM. The performance will feature the new trio of Gianluigi Trovesi (sax, clarinets), soprano Elena Bertocchi, and pianist Fabio Piazzalunga for the “Arie del ‘900” project. This trio’s concert aims to recreate the atmosphere and music played in the mid-20th century in the spas of the Bergamo valleys and beyond, to entertain guests. They will reinterpret these classics, today as they were then, with that fusion of swing and European culture that has always been a hallmark of Maestro Trovesi’s musical offerings. A musical journey that begins at the turn of the century (19th and 20th centuries) from the “Vedova Allegra”, then continues with some classic Neapolitan songs, and then continues with what was the Italian reinterpretation of American musicals.
