On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the dedication by the municipality of Provaglio d’Iseo of the exhibition space inside the Monastery of San Pietro in Lamosa to fellow citizen and photographer Franco Bettini, the Brescia Photo Festival  from 6th May to 16th July 2023 proposes the exhibition Franco Bettini – le forme del bianco, curated by Renato Corsini and Sara Cuccia.

The event, organised by Ma.Co.F – Centre of Italian Photography in collaboration with the Municipality of Provaglio d’Iseo is sponsored by the Municipality of Brescia and the Brescia Musei Foundation and is part of the prestigious programme of the Brescia Photo Festival 2023 and Bergamo Brescia Italian Capital of Culture.

The exhibition aims to explore one of the many themes that the photographer has tackled in the course of his artistic experience, composition.

Bettini ventured into the genre of still life (in painting this is ‘still life’) and was inspired by the classics of art history, including Giorgio Morandi, and created a series of shots in which the colour white plays the leading role.
The objects that appear in his pictures are simple and humble, mostly glasses and bottles, which tell of an intimate search for the self.
