On Saturday 26th August, at 10.00 a.m., a guided tour of the castle, always open and available to the public and the Church of San Rocco, which was opened for the occasion, will be held in Provaglio d’Iseo by engineer Angelo Valsecchi, who oversaw its restoration and renovation.

The Castle, built by the Oldofredi family between the 13th and 14th centuries, is located in a strategic position on the mountain above the Piano delle viti area.

The Church of San Rocco, as suggested by its unconventional structure, was inaugurated in 1868 inside the walls on a pre-existing structure, probably belonging to the Church of Sant’Ambrogio.

The event is part of ‘Franciacorta Aperta’, an important action spread throughout the Franciacorta region.

Each Municipality has a week to organise initiatives of various kinds linked to the promotion of the territory, in collaboration with the main players in their community.
