Church of St. Michele

Located on the homonymous hill in the locality of Goiane (Ome), the church of St. Michele preserves most of its original features, such as the religious frescoes of the 15th and 16th centuries and a primitive chapel with one wing (most probably of the Romanesque period).

The nave is divided into three bays, which join in a quadrangular presbytery covered by a barrel vault. The church undergoes a phase of interventions between the 17th and 18th centuries, with the construction of the bell tower, the altar, the sacristy and the house of the custodian.

The church is an ideal destination for a picnic in the summer season, with a park with benches at its back. The panoramic view along the Po Valley extends to the Apennines on clear days.
