The Museum. And other stories “Erect/Demolish. Images of power in art”

The cycle of conferences as part of the “Tadini Academy: an open museum” project financed by the Cariplo Foundation ends on Saturday 10 May 2025 at 3.00 pm in the Sala degli Affreschi of the Tadini Academy.
The meeting will offer the opportunity to reflect on the political use of artistic heritage in the ancient world, on the meaning of the memory evoked by works of art and on the role of museums as active and participatory safeguards of the memory of beauty, goodness and human history .
Cristina Miedico is curator of archaeological heritage at the Municipality of Milan and takes care of the archaeological collections of the Sforzesco Castle. For the Municipality of Milan, he collaborates with the Working Group for the construction of the National Museum of the Resistance.
Already an expert in heritage management and cultural policies at the School of Cultural Heritage and Activities Foundation, from 2010 to 2020 she was scientific director of the Civic Archaeological and Widespread Museum of Angera – Lake Maggiore.
It develops research and training projects, cultural valorisation and promotion according to the principles of the Faro Convention and the Participatory Museum, deals with Archeology and Cultural Landscape, Museology and Museum Accessibility.
He is a member of ICOM Italia and participates in the working group dedicated to Cultural Welfare.
Since 2016 she has been Ambassador of GARIWO – Forest of the Righteous, in which context she promotes the figures of the Righteous of Heritage.
