From Sunday, July 6th to Sunday, July 13th at the square adjacent to the former Paratico Railway Station, the 16th Symposium Scolpire in Piazza will be held, with the theme “Un lago è il tratto più bello ed espressivo del paesaggio. È l’occhio della terra, a guardare nel quale l’osservatore misura la profondità della propria natura.”

The “Scolpire in Piazza 2025” event is a biennial review of art, culture and tradition of Paratico sandstone.

For the 16th edition of the event, the need was identified for artistic works to be harmoniously inserted into the environment, in a dedicated space that, when completed, will be added to the existing paths in the municipal area. The theme of the work takes its cue, on a purely inspirational level, from the excerpt of a text by Henry David Thoreau, which each sculptor will be free to interpret and elaborate, in the creation of his work, according to his artistic feeling.

Sunday, July 13th at 6 pm, the Symposium will close with the presentation of awards in Paratico’s Council Chamber.
