From 8 to 10 September 2023 the “Arawordbridge, un ponte di parole” festival will be held in Lovere. Three appointments, three meetings, three evenings of music, theater and journalism with Ferruccio De Bortoli, Massimo Bubola, Gene Gnocchi, Eugenio Finardi and the participation of local guests.

The unpublished project is organized by the Araberara periodical and by the Municipality of Lovere. The leitmotif of the three days is the theme of the border, understood as a union, a resource, an exchange of ideas. The same union that Lovere for the territories and Araberara for the news represent in the provinces of Bergamo and Brescia, Capitals of Culture 2023, united by a border not only geographical but of cultures and traditions.

The events are all free.

On Saturday 9 September, at 9 pm, Gene Gnocchi will be the protagonist on the stage in Piazza Tredici Martiri with the show “Il Movimento del nulla”, a monologue with comic but ‘absolutely political’ outlines, easily guessed also from the subtitle: “Non manterremo le promesse, ma noi ve lo diciamo prima”. A parody of today’s politics, which however transforms into a ‘real’ movement complete with anthem, party cards and electoral gadgets distributed at the end of the evening. A show between irony and bitterness, smiles and reflections.

The evening will be opened by a performance by the singer-songwriter Valentina Soster and the intervention of representatives of the “CCW – Calendarcancerwoman” project, accompanied by the MEP Gianna Gancia who had brought them to Brussels on 8 March. Presents Piero Bonicelli.

On this occasion, the Lovere lakeside will be pedestrianised.

In case of bad weather, the event will be held at the Crystal theatre.
