Italian championships – Tricolori di Voga in piedi

The national fixed-seat rowing stops on Lake Iseo in Lovere on Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th of September.Appointment with the Italian Championships dedicated to Standing Rowing, on a VIP 7.50 boat, under the aegis of the FICSF with organization by the ASD Vogatori Tavernola in collaboration with the Canottieri Sebino and the patronage of the Municipality of Lovere.
The races will take place in the mirror overlooking the Parco dei Fanti-Piazza Marinai d’Italia within a 6-course regatta field measuring 375 meters in length.
Two sections (750 meters) for Beginners, three (1125 meters) for Students, Cadets, Boys, Juniors and Vallesana specialties and four (1500 meters) for Seniors and Masters.
In Garda, a year ago, the medal table rewarded Meolo’s club with its two Italian titles and three-second places, followed by Mestre (2 gold and 2 silver) and Garda, also the winner of two Italian titles and a second
place. For the general points classification, the success of Canottieri Giudecca with 141 points, ahead of Canottieri Cannaregio, with 128 points and Meolo, with 124 points.
“September is, traditionally, the month of the Tricolors and our Federation is pleased to arrive in Lovere for the first time with a continuously expanding reality such as Standing Rowing – states the federal president Marco Mugnani – After the 83 participating boats
in Garda in 2022, we also expect an enthusiastic presence of clubs, rowers and rowers ready to battle for medals in 2023.”
The program includes accreditation on Saturday 23rd of September from 9 to 10, the start time of the Race Council.
Qualifying heats followed by repechage sessions on Saturday at 10.30 am. On Sunday, accreditation (8.30) and the Regatta Council (8.45) will proceed with the opening ceremony with flag raising at the Canottieri Sebino (venue for the awards ceremony at 4 pm). The semifinals and finals kick off starting at 10 am.
