The Enchanted Forest: The Magic of Christmas in Sovere
From Sunday 1 December 2024 to Monday 6 January 2025
Starting from Sunday 1st December until Monday 6 January, Palazzo Silvestri in Sovere and its park will be transformed into an evocative “Enchanted Forest”, offering a fairytale atmosphere that will enchant adults and children throughout the Christmas period.
The initiative, organized by the Municipality of Sovere in collaboration with the Municipal Library and with the support of the Sovere Parents’ Committee, the “Mi Bemolle” Choir, Paolo Sagitta and Visit Lake Iseo, is made possible thanks to the contribution of the Lombardy Region as part of the “Ogni Giorno in Lombardia” call for proposals.
For the entire duration of the event, Palazzo Silvestri and the surrounding park will be populated by elves, fairies and magical figures, giving life to an enchanted world in which the little ones can participate in creative workshops and the older ones will enjoy guided tours to discover the area.
“Light installations, magic and fairytale adventures will animate the spaces of the fifteenth-century palace and the park, offering an emotional journey,” says Mayor Federica Cadei. “The theme of the fairytale will be the common thread of all the activities,” adds Councilor for Culture and Public Education, Silvia Beretta, “providing an atmosphere of pure magic for all ages.”
The event will start on Sunday 1st December at 3:00 p.m. with readings and a Christmas workshop for children curated by the Sovere Library Commission. At the same time, it will be possible to participate in a free guided tour of Palazzo Silvestri, led by guide Gigi Bertoletti (reservations recommended).
The official inauguration of the “Enchanted Forest” will take place between 4:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m., with speeches by local authorities and the switching on of the Christmas lights in the park. Following, a snack organized by the Parents’ Committee of the Sovere Comprehensive Institute, with the musical accompaniment of the “E Bemolle” choir directed by Luca Perico. The atmosphere will be made even more suggestive by a Candle Light show, with over 500 candles that will illuminate the park. From 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm, visitors will be able to watch the acrobatic juggling show with fire and luminous stilt walkers, curated by Paolo Sagitta.
The Enchanted Forest will remain lit until Monday, January 6.
