L’AcquaSantissima – theatre play

In 2020 CI.T.T.À DOLCI presents seven theatre and music appointments from August 23rd to October 18th.
Wednesday, September 2nd at the Borgo del Maglio in Ome, L’AcquaSantissima, ultimo giorno di don Salvatore will be staged.
What determines the non-contradiction between the mafia and the Catholic culture? How is it possible within the Church itself the presence of a God of the executioners and a God of the victims? On stage there will be a Mafioso himself speaking; stories and facts are filtered through his gaze.
Mafia can count on powerful myths, rites, norms and strong symbols without which it would be like a people without religion, without ideology.
The mafia men have built an image of themselves as “men of honour”, champions of the order who do justice, but in their long history, they have never defended the weak against the strong or the poor against the rich. Mafia is a phenomenon of ruling classes, of power …
The admission is free of charge. Booking is mandatory via website or by telephone. The reservation is valid up to 10 minutes before the beginning of the show.
