On the occasion of Holocaust Memorial Day, the Municipality of Gussago has organized a calendar of initiatives in collaboration with the Istituto Comprensivo di Gussago and local associations as part of the “Per non dimenticare” project.

The program:

• Thursday, January 25th at 8.45 pm at the Municipal Library “Bonometti”, a presentation of the book “An Alpine in a Cage,” by author Fausto Scolari will be held;
• Friday, January 26th from 9 am in the Civic Hall C. Togni, pupils of the Istituto Comprensivo di Gussago will present the three-act play “Una goccia di splendore, di umanità, contro le atrocità di ogni guerra, di ogni genocidio.” At 11.30 am, an institutional ceremony at the ANEI Monument – former internees on Mons. Bazzani Avenuewill be held. At 8.45 pm at the Civic Hall C. Togni, the lecture “La Resistenza lunga: storia dell’antifascismo” by historian Simona Colarizzi will take place as part of the “Festival del Rinascimento Culturale”
• Saturday, January 27th, from 2.30 pm in the Church of St. Lawrence, “Smisurata preghiera: un’orazione personale, un’invocazione corale” with speeches by some of local associations and groups will be held. St. Lawrence Church will remain open for the entire afternoon for anyone who wishes to leave a thought, a symbol, a reflection against discrimination, genocide and all wars that ravage humanity. At 8.45 pm in the Civic Hall, a musical storytelling “L’attesa di Robert” by the “Corpo musicale di Cologne” will be held.
