As part of the 22nd 2024-2025 theater season of Crystal, on Saturday 25 (8:45 pm) and Sunday 26 January 2025 (4:00 pm) the show “L’anatra all’arancia” with Emilio Solfrizzi and Carlotta Natoli by Douglas and Sauvajon directed by Claudio Greg Gregori will be performed in Lovere.

The wife, tired of her husband’s carelessness and infidelity, has decided to leave him and start a new life with another man. This leads her husband to reconsider his actions and, driven by a late jealousy, he tries to win back the woman’s affection by asking her for one last meeting to which his rival is also invited. The funny play highlights the feelings and moods of the characters, who lend themselves and allow themselves to be involved in a singular game of roles: from ease and cynicism, we move on to bitterness and resentment, to fears and antagonism, increasingly evident behind the mask of indifference and elegant detachment. A comedy that immediately grabs and drags into a vortex of witty, apparently casual jokes, because everything is designed like a game of chess. The transformation of the characters occurs softly, thanks to a direction that shapes it with movements that are sometimes sinuous, sometimes sudden, but always respectful of a sophisticated story in which the pettiness of the human soul serves to make us smile, but also to suggest how to get rid of it.
